Purchase the Princess Transfer. We do every time. No issues or worries. You can purchase them while on board at the excursion desk.

I've only sailed out of ft Lauderdale once but when I did, we walked out and there was a shuttle bus that others were on. The driving just asked us if we wanted to ride with them to the airport since there were seats available. super easy and cheap!
