Hard to complain about it, but took forever to get off the ship because the line had to be stopped on numerous occasions. Was told by port staff that are was not necessarily the safest while managing luggage and was unable to find luggage storage. However we were able to maneuver the short distance to Pier 39 and enjoy a wonderful , local lunch before heading to the airport.

We had two days in San Francisco, and given we had been there twice before, weren’t sure how much we would enjoy this stop. Turns out we enjoyed it immensely. On the first day, we took a shore excursion to Sausalito and Muir Woods, and this was probably the best cruise line excursion we have ever taken. Great guide and nice timing, with 1.5 hours at each stop and great commentary along the way. Second day we played tourist, strolling along the embarcadaro and Fishermen’s Wharf.

Sailing underneath the Golden Gate Bridge was fantastic, twice: going in about 12pm and departing about 10pm. There was only a 30-foot clearance between the bridge and the top of the Bliss -- very cool to see the bridge pass over your head while up on the sun deck / Vibe / laser tag area. The port area is very clean and you can immediately get on one of the rail streetcars, walk west toward Fisherman's Wharf, or hop on a local bus route. I did not book an excursion because I planned to visit friends in the city. We lucked out with mostly-sunny weather, too!

Did the Chinatown dinner and tour through the ship and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great sightseeing as well as food...there was an abundance of this at the dinner.
