We stayed at a hotel within a short taxi ride to the port. San Francisco port is generally very busy and surrounded by traffic jams during embarkation hours. I don't think there are hotels within walking distance so a taxi is generally needed. We usually enjoy staying around Fisherman's Wharf--seemed a bit seedier this time round.

Did a Hop on Hop Off and got to see alot of the San Fran, hadn't been here in over 20 years. Highlight was getting to ride over the Golden Gate Bridge. Another highlight was sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge!!!!!

It's San Francisco, a beautiful city. It took a long time before we could disembark, we got to the port at 2:00 pm and didn't disembark until 3:30. I had a 6:00 shore excursion, so was disappointed that I was unable to go to either the aquarium or Maritime National Park, which I was looking forward to one of them. We did the San Francisco at Night tour, which we both enjoyed.

They do have homeless men in the Fisherman's Wharf area outside of the guarded ship area. They do have a trolley that we could jump on and off and a CVS store.

Rented a bike and rode over the Golden gate Bridge. It's so pretty and unique there.

A chance to see why Tony Bennett Left His Heart in San Francisco. An international city that offers visitors a chance to see the Golden Gate Bridge, or visit Golden Gate Park and it's many museums, or ride a Cable Car to Ghirardelli Square and taste some delicious handmade chocolates. Passengers wishing to shop can visit Union Square and those wishing to enjoy some of the delicious international cuisine there is Chinatown, North Beach's Italian dining, and daily fresh caught seafood along the wharf or across town.
