We had two days in San Francisco, and given we had been there twice before, weren’t sure how much we would enjoy this stop. Turns out we enjoyed it immensely. On the first day, we took a shore excursion to Sausalito and Muir Woods, and this was probably the best cruise line excursion we have ever taken. Great guide and nice timing, with 1.5 hours at each stop and great commentary along the way. Second day we played tourist, strolling along the embarcadaro and Fishermen’s Wharf.

A chance to see why Tony Bennett Left His Heart in San Francisco. An international city that offers visitors a chance to see the Golden Gate Bridge, or visit Golden Gate Park and it's many museums, or ride a Cable Car to Ghirardelli Square and taste some delicious handmade chocolates. Passengers wishing to shop can visit Union Square and those wishing to enjoy some of the delicious international cuisine there is Chinatown, North Beach's Italian dining, and daily fresh caught seafood along the wharf or across town.

Did a Hop on Hop Off and got to see alot of the San Fran, hadn't been here in over 20 years. Highlight was getting to ride over the Golden Gate Bridge. Another highlight was sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge!!!!!

It’s changed alot since I was there long ago. Businesses along the piers have shut down for good & the city had a lot of homeless people about. Theft was witnessed by my family & I in a parking lot right by Pier 39. Smash & grab from someone’s car in the parking lot.

Enjoyed the area around Fisherman's Wharf. Lots of stuff to do and highly recommend checking out the area.

Taking a cruise from this port and we are looking for a reasonable place to stay and reasonable transportation. Hoping someone can help! Our cruise is in may.

Never being folks to spend a lot on excursions, we prefer to walk around most of the port towns/cities we visit. We enjoyed looking around and visiting local businesses. Of course, there are many excursions in larger ports like this.

I live here, so I'm biased. You're in the heart of everything, so just wander around and enjoy SF when at port here. Go north to Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli, go south to the Ferry Building, go west to the Financial District, China Town and North Beach.
