Another tiny town. We had a wonderful excursion here, but again not much to see here.

Beautiful. We did an excursion to a stunning waterfall, but you can do walks in Seyðisfjörður for free.

Very small town. Arrived in the evening about 18:00. Walked around town, not much going on. Took a few photos of church and rainbow street. Next day tour: Hike To Hengifoss Waterfall. Left late because there was snow on mountain we had to cross. Somewhat steep climb/hike, last third over muddy rocks with a poorly defined path. Views however were spectacular and worth it!

a wonderful wild independent excursion around the peninsula… traveling on a narrow, gravel mountain road to really tiny village…. Then to lunch with absolutely fresh cod. (we saw them cleaning the fresh caught fish outside) and finishing up with time to wander around the port town

Fun little port town. Even though it was a holiday they still had tons of little shops in peoples homes to shop in. The rainbow road to the church was also cute. The waterfall is a much tougher hike than previous ports but still fun to hike.

This little town was a treat. 680 population in the summer. Beer was $10 a glass. Makes the cruise ship beers at $7 a good deal.

Parts of Iceland are “not ready for prime time”. The remoteness is interesting, but there are just not enough venues to take visitors to in some spots. Example, roads not ready for bus traffic, venues not equipped with adequate toilets or casual seating, etc.
