Not overly impressive city. Not a lot to see.

Very small variety of excursions, we went to see a Jewish synagogue. Learned a lot more about the Jewish religion than I had every known before.

Plenty of time to get to our excursions. We had an hour to walk around before our excursion. Great port.

Beautiful city, we did a city tour with Loreymar that cost only $20. It was advertised as 2.5 hours but took longer. Tour guide was very informative. His presentation was in both Spanish and English. The group was smaller which I like better. They were located just outside the port.

Frankly, Montevideo is a bit boring, but the excursion to the winery was nice.

Walk till you get to the centre of town because there are soooo many incredible buildings - the architecture will blow your mind. It was Sunday so the streets were quiet, mostly families relaxing and the smell of bbq everywhere.

I was disappointed in Montevideo. We took a city tour that included a tango show at the Alchemist House. The sights were okay, we saw the palace from the outside, the soccer stadium, and a monument to covered wagons, which was strange but nice. The town is right on the ocean so that was nice. Independence square was nice. The houses of ambassadors were nice. The Alchemist House was very strange and to be honest a disappointment and a waste of time. The tango show two was a rip off, two very old people doing the tango in slow motion. The best part of the day was after the tour going back into town and doing some shopping in the stores near the port.
