We did not take an excursion but went ashore on our own. The town is very cute and the D-Day museum was excellent.

Fantastic little island - so welcoming and also supplied a map and plenty of helpers there to point out specific shops etc and give general advice. I would certainly visit again

Excellent place. The locals are really friendly and they used volunteers to help with the number of passengers. Not only was it Coronation holiday, but it was also liberation weekend so there was a carnival atmosphere there. Mum couldn't get off because of tender transport

I was very disappointed with the lack of communication on the option to take the ferry from Guernsey to Sark. Apparently, if one had not booked an excursion, only the 8 AM ferry allowed one to visit Sark with enough time to look around. You see, there were two ferries to Sark [8 & 10 AM] and two ferries from Sark back to Guernsey [Noon and 4 PM]--and the ship departed at 3 PM. This information was not conveyed in the Princess Patter. I REALLY wanted to visit Sark to do research on Dame Sibyl Hathaway.

We booked a Land Rover tour and we were taken around Guernsey and shown the most interesting parts which we found very informative and interesting.
