We hiked up to an observation platform and the views were amazing. Did our own walking tour, really easy to get about and lovely place

A very interesting city as it was the location of the second nuclear bomb explosion from the USA. We took a private tour with an Aussie that moved to Japan about 20 years ago. He was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the history and local area. He took us to see a few sites just outside the city before having a picnic at the Obama Hot Springs, wheee we enjoyed a relaxing footpath before heading to the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb museum.

The excursion was a disappointment because the tour guide rushed through the sites not even making sure we could hear her explanation given the amount of people visiting the same places.

The port was interesting, but our guide was completely incomprehensible and you could not hear anything she said, nor understand it. We all pretty much did our own thing since we had no idea what she was saying.

Easy to maneuver without a tour.

Site of the 2nd Atomic Bomb. Another very large industrial port on the southern island of Kyushu.

Visited War Memorial. Purchased daily Tram pass at the port. Very good direction easy to follow map. The Trams are numbered on the map with all the stops with names and number.
