When we sailed down the passage was fairly smooth. On the way back we had 6-7 meter waves. the trip was very rough but we have been in seas like this once before. the cruising was slow and we were late to our next port.

Thankfully we had calm seas!!

The Drake Passage is rough crossing. Apparently we had a rather smooth crossing but it was still one of the roughest spots in the 180 days. I was not sea sick but many others were so be prepared since you must cross it to get to Antarctica.

Rough seas but not as bad as expected.

on the bridge you do not really do the Drake passage - you sail from Antarctic Sound area to South Georgia Island - not really the Drake passage at all - that is of benefit for some.

We had the Drake Shake going there. Unavoidable. It is what it is.

This passage can be treacherous but for our passage it was quiet. 3-4 metre swells was the worst we saw. We were lucky it was such a boring passage. Didn't really want excitement here.
