We rented a car the 1st day and drove to Haleakala national park. Would highly recommend it. The 2nd day we took a half road to Hana (private excursion) with Maui Taxi. Again, would HIGHLY recommend the company and the tour.

The Maui beach day excursion is a great way to spend d the day! The beach is connected to the Grand Wailea & Four Seasons hotels.

As Lahaina isn't accessible you are in the industrial side, so plan on doing an excursion or walking to QKC and shopping

The port itself is industrial and there's a long walk to get out for Ubers and rental cars, but Maui has so much to offer. We did the Haleakala summit, Paia town, Ho'Okipah Beach, Maluaka Beach and Kihei and enjoyed it all.

We enjoyed a trip to the aquarium

I wish there were a stargazing shore excursion. We did the Sunset on Haleakala, but that's not the same thing - you're on your way back before it's dark enough to see stars. We like Maui, and visited the Maui Ocean Center on our own. Since we're Kama'aina, it didn't make sense to use an excursion for this (sorry, NCL). We also walked to Queen Ka'ahumanu Center, just because.
