Kahului, Maui Port Reviews

Princess allegedly did not pre-coordinate with the city of Kahului to ensure that the required number of security personnel were available to support disembarkation. This resulted in pushing the disembarkation time from 8am to 12:30pm. We ended up walking the beach which was relaxing and since we did not book any excursions, we were not impacted due to cancelled excursions.

Beach Day was wonderful!

Beach day. Expensive for about 3 hours. Having said that, it was a great way to relax. Weather and beach were fantastic

Excursion canceled by Carnival. Went to Botanical gardens near the port.

The cruise terminal is near a nice shopping center. Maui surprised me as the valley looked almost desert-like. Did a catamaran sea turtle snorkel. The excursion was fun, but packed. There were 150 other cruise passengers on the excursion and we usually like excursions with smaller groups. Still had a good time. Lunch was served on the catamaran. Crew was great. That evening we went to a restaurant near port called Ale House that was delicious.

Did not like this port at all I would’ve rather been tendered in on the other side by Lahana.
