Nice island. No excursions done

Did the Luau ...approx 500 people about 100 from the ship sat to the left of te stage next to the palm tree and under the speaker, everyone sat on picnic tables. the food was good the experience was not. We were suprisd since Holland America comes on a regular basis the client priority was to the total left stage -very little view

We selected the wine and cheese tour. The cost was 229US per person. For this price we receive the following experience 2 hours around trip of driving without any communication from the driver. Once on site in the middle of nowhere we sat outside under a tent and were present with plate of RIZE crackers and scoop of home made cheese.Sorry I almost forgot about the wine I understand that we all have different taste buds, however this wine serve in small class was average at best. I also almost forgotten to mention the two cold teas we had. Once complete we were offer a tour of the facilities which took 10 minutes and then back on the bus.

Had a little stop here. Best was a tour bus to see a cookie and tourist shop.

This was thee best! We literally wanted to UBER somewhere close where we could snorkel! The driver took us 5 minutes up the road to this cove area. (10 bucks for the ride there) There were SEVERAL sea turtles laid up on rocks and swimming around us!!! It was awesome! We caught the Hoppa on hoppa off bus back for 5 bucks. Most ppl pay so much for this type of Excursion so we really lucked out. Plus we were not in this port too long so it was nice we were close.

Downtown market and shops are nice and great place to buy some gifts.

Would like to have more time here

I also rented a car for our party of four and we had a great time visiting the Volcano caldera, black sand beach, and other sites near Hilo.

Very interesting
