We jumped in a cab & was taken to the banyan trees garden & walked to a farmers market. Then we came back via the city bus for free.

No excursion, took shuttle to towns which worked great.

We rented a car. Had to take a taxi to car rental and back. No shuttle service.

Did not like the port due to all the walking to get out of the port to see anything.

Nice port, great views but missed the lava.

Absolutely loved this port and the tour. The black sand beach was awesome. We went to the Hilo Coast and Botanical Gardens and it was absolutely beautiful.
