Salzburg amazing!

Took a city tour to Salzburg. It was actually snowing in May the day we toured, so it was quite cold. Regardless of the cold, we enjoyed hearing about the history the city and about the von Trapp Family (and subsequent movie - Sound of Music filmed there). Almost every store was closed on Sunday. We enjoyed a nice lunch in a warm restaurant.

We took the full day excursion and really enjoyed Mondsee in the lake district. Salzburg is always a wonderful city to visit and explore.

Cesky Krumlov was definitely a diamond in the rough. Silva, our tour guide, provided interesting historical information about this medieval town and castle. We had spectacular views of the Alps and the city and villages below.

Salzburg is extraordinarily beautiful and a great excursion. It is just a shame it takes so long to get there from the boat. The stop in Moodsee (sp) was a nice break and the Julia Andrews video on the way back a nice distraction.

We had much difficulty booking the excursion to the cider farm. You can’t book in advance and although not publicized, has limited spots. Really disappointed with process.
