Kind of quiet on a Sunday, but we found a taxi van with a driver who turned out to be our guide.

Beautiful place. Friendly locals and port welcoming team was so helpful and knowledgeable.

We did the Northmavine excursion from MSC and loved it as we got to see a fair bit of the island and the guide Les was both entertaining and knowledgeable. He was also an extra in the Shetland series, Season 3 episode 1 and 3 minutes in, as he kept dropping it into the conversation! Seriously though great guide, full of knowledge, great sense of humour and also gave us poetry and a song !

Fun place to get out and walk around. Good souvenir shopping stop.

Probably our favorite. We had time to walk around Lerwick and see some of the historic sites like town hall and Fort Charlotte. The Mousa Island tour was excellent. Felt good to be walking on grass again!

private excursion was the way to go. Did more than the RC excursions and beat the buses at most stops.

Disappointed that the driver didn’t stop for us to take photos of the Shetland ponies and castle
