We did. An explore Paris on our own which was fun but required a 6 hour round trip on a bus.

Another wet day stayed aboard

Excursion to Normany, high light of trip, BUT excursion was 10 hours long. TOO LONG

Stay away you have to wait forever to even find a hot cup of chocolate

Went to Dday battle beaches and cemeteries.

Paris with lunch on the Seine what could be better?

Like Pearl Harbor, the Omaha Beach D-Day Museum, cemetery, and battlefield is something every American should visit. Rich in history and emotions.

Did the Paris & lunch on the river. Wish there was more time to shop.

No excursions appealed to us so we just took the shuttle into town. We’d originally toyed with just staying on board as research had suggested that the port was industrial but in truth the berth was actually in front of the town and with the weather being nice we then walked back to the ship having explored. It was Sunday so most shops were closed but it was surprisingly pleasant.

Bus tour into Paris. Very enjoyable, just a long drive.
