It was good but a long train ride to anywhere of interest.

We thought the speakers in the trolley were poor; pretty much missed all that was said.

This unfortunately was a pretty bad experience for us due to the excursion. We did the Florence by electric cart tour which said we would have 3.5 hours in Florence and then an hour cart tour of the city which would end with a stop at an artisanal shop. After the 2 hour bus from the port to florence, we reached at 12:00 and were told we had to be at our cart stop by 1:55 which is less than 2 hours of free time. And to make things worse, the guide made us go into a leather shop and cut more of our time. We could only stay a few blocks away and get food in that time. We missed seeing any art including the David and just felt like we missed out of everything. We then got to the cart ride and it felt more like 45 minutes in traffic than a cart ride though the city. After this disappointing experience, we were then brought to another leather factory and then brought back to the ship. All in all, a really bad excursion and I wish we just explored the city on our own.

Noting to see in La Spezia. Visited Pisa and Florence. What I expected...except of the dozens of street vendors approaching you on the .25 mile walk to the venue. It was non-stop.

We experienced a tour of the local towns which we feel was the right choice. We truly got our best flavor of Italy from these small towns which have history, great views of the Mediterranean and great food.
