We were all determined to get off and enjoy the windmills at Kinderdijk, so we took our large Viking umbrellas and started out. Unfortunately, it was cold, windy, and pouring rain, so many of us tried but decided it wasn't worth getting soaked. If it's raining and cold, I would pass because quite a few of us got colds.

We were there on the worst day possible, it hailed with high winds and we went back to the boat...

The old Windmills are fascinating and worth seeing but are a considerable walking distance from the docking area with no supplemental transport available

It was a nice area to walk around in and very interesting to see how the windmills work. Not as interesting as I expected but a fun morning. There were walking tours offered that were pretty easy to do.
