The most beautiful scenery you will ever see in your life. Make sure you book a tour that takes you to: Flydalsjuvet, up that mountain, then to the other side for another view up eagle road, and see the seven sisters waterfalls or you will miss out on a once in a lifetime view.

Geiranger is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is certainly very pretty. Having said all that, I didn't enjoy stopping here as it was rammed full of tourists. Geiranger has become such a popular port and ferry stop that you can't move for coach-loads of tourists and visitors. Visit Geiranger and then go to higher points for views of the valley with its' waterfalls and fjords. If you're the first boat in port you no longer need to tender as they now have the 'seawalk' which reaches out to the boat on its floating pontoons. Like others have said it's interesting to watch.

Despite it being wet and overcast while there, it was still a marvelous port to visit. Majestic mountains and dozens of waterfalls all around. An unforgettable experience.

We went on our own at Geiranger and caught a bus to the top of Dalsnibba, once again, a fabulous view. We were looking down the fjord towards Geiranger and we could see the Journey in the fjord 14-15000 metres below, The ride was another thing, it was like roller coaster ride of switchbacks and amazing views.

Several popular bus tours up winding roads; we took another Hop on/off bus & hiked to Westeras Farm where we saw ponies, sheep, goats & llamas & had tea; hoped back on bus to ride farther up man to lookout stop with great views!

This is a quiet fjord-side small town. The GG40 - Herdal Farm excursion was fun and informative but, if you're an American DO NOT buy any meat products. We were assured there would be no issue and the sausage was approved for international transport. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol advised otherwise as they confiscated the $30USD goat sausage. There didn't seem to be a Celebrity representative on this excursion to help with those sorts of issues. The guide was knowledgable and the scenery and stops for photos were perfect.

Sailing thru the Fjords is absolutely breathtaking! Get up early to see this! Did a tour, booked on line, and it was very good.

Stunning cruise in and out of Geiranger. We didn't do an organised excursion but preferred a stroll around the shoreline. Take the steps up by the waterfall for a nice view of the fjord.

Hop on Hop off bus was fine. Time ashore was too short preventing a nice hike (except by Princess) to waterfall (rather strenuous). fantastic views of town and fjord.
