Don't miss the incredible views of the fjord as you are arriving and/or leaving. The only negative of this port was that we had to use tender boats (the dock was occupied by another ship).

Rainy that day, a huge ship was in port that had 6000 folks on board, port too small to handle that many. It was a pretty fjord to sail in and out of. We did a hike that should have been cancelled as the trail was too dangerous, two passengers were injured. During the hike the guide did not give background info on the area. The farmhouse visit was really a dark cabin where they served soggy waffles. Nothing about farm life.

The fjords were by far, the highlight of the trip

We did the tour to the top of Eagles Road and Mt. Dalsnibba. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and the top of the mountain was clouded over, so no spectacular view. The rest of the trip was a bus tour up and down a hairpin filled road that is quite spectacular (and scary!)

Maybe the most beautiful place in the world. If you want to walk past the small downtown dock area, be prepared to for some heavy duty hiking. We didn't do an excursion because we thought we could walk it (because someone on YouTube did). If you're not in perfect health, plan an excursion. You don't want to miss the beauty of Geiranger.

Saw everything this port had to offer in 3.5hr bus tour of Mt. Datsnibba & Eagle Road. Was able to walk down 392 stairs along a waterfall back to the ship.

Gorgeous

Cute town but can’t handle a ship dumping 5000 people in a day. Should be limited to much smaller ships only.

tour planned was cancelled due to weather conditions but the city tour and view of the waterfalls was very nice, mountain hiking is stressed.

This is the worst port out of all. We did not take the excursion because we did not want to deal with the tender situation. Part of my family members and went the the feedback from them were "terrible" port and terrible excursion experience.
