We went 3 days early to enjoy this great city. Best part was exploring the neighborhood near our hotel, enjoying food markets and cafes, and seeing how the friendly locals live. Tivoli Gardens is a must.

Cool town. Fun story. You dock many miles away from Copenhagen. Not other cruise ships though. Luckily, Norwegian charters a bus to take you back and forth. They'll pop you for $20 a person for the honor but hey, they've already screwed me out of money for the cruise so why not keep the theme. The bus drops you off in. . .that's right nowhere particularly convenient. In fact, getting off the bus the driver tells you to watch out because you are exiting into a bike line. It isn't even a bus stop, just the middle of the road. We found it much easier and convenient to use the public bus to get back to the ship.

The port was organized and the embarking process was very easy. The shuttles to/from the ship should be more often.

Biased; we spent 3 days after the cruise.

We had 1-1/2 days in Copenhagen. What a great place to visit! We enjoyed walking around Tivoili, watching the changing of the guard, saw beautiful gardens and sampled beers and food while watching an outdoor music venue. The shuttle service offered by Celebrity was perfect for getting to and from the port.

Take a full and varied tour to see as much as possible.

During the cruise, we went to this stopover 2 times, with a longer time than expected. The port of Copenhagen is located on the east coast of Denmark. Copenhagen is the capital of the country and the largest city in Scandinavia. Copenhagen is famous for its Little Mermaid, a statue in tribute to the account of the writer Hans Christian Andersen. The first time we took the following excursion: Copenhagen City Drive & Canal Cruise, very popular and worth the cost! The second time we took a shuttle bus to get to the 1st metro station. From there we took the metro to get to the city center, beautiful monuments with pedestrian streets, shops and restaurants.

Explored on our own for awhile. Weather was very rainy. Took Uber to Little Mermaid statue, walked to Amalienborg Palace, Gafion Fountain, Resistance Museum, and Nyhavn. Didn't get to see as much as we wanted because of the weather. Would like to return and do more sightseeing.

We boarded in Copenhagen and arrived a few days early. Beautiful city and wonderful people. Lots to do. We recommend the hop on hop off bus with the river tour. Great way to orient and decide where to spend more time.

Port is outside the city, you can either go on ships tour, take hop on hop off bus or port bus and metro to city center, city is nice with lots of historic sites
