Amsterdam is simply wonderful. Watch out for the bikes they are the main mode of transportation and have the right a way. We did the Rijkmuseium and canal cruise in the morning and I went to the Ann Frank House visit the afternoon. I do regret that we didn't get to see the Van Gogh museum which I have heard is also excellent.

We stayed in Amsterdam a few extra days and did the tourist thing.

You must do a cruise though the canals to see the city.

Been a couple times and never has changed my opinion on the city. Unclean and not nice to walk around. Litter all over the city which I know they will blame cruise passengers and British tourists for.

Always enjoy this amazing city! You can take the tram from the Cruise Port across the street into Central Station, just use a credit card to enter and depart!

HAL arranged airfare, we arrived in the late morning and boarded mid-afternoon. We had little chance to visit. Suggest arriving several days before departure.
