The excursion offered by the ship was good. Later we took a cab to see the Igloo (Ice Hotel) which was fascinating.

Alta canyon excursion was less than expectations. Limited northern lights viewing because of clouds.

This was the farthest north that we went and we saw the lights on and off the ship. Spectacular, especially on the Mt Paestuan tour.

We did see the northern lights which was good. Not enough to do and see. Again, excursions were too long and overpriced for what we did.

We had to pay NCL for a shuttle into town, which we toured on our own.

The port of Alta itself is not super excting. Loved our excursion to the igloo hotel and hunting for the northern lights. the huskies were great. Wouldn't have wanted to miss this port.

Northern livhts were outstanding. Very small town but delightful to visit.

Snow and ice. I have been there before so I remained on board. I recommend seeing the Cathedral of the Northern Lights
