Nice to walk around. Try the free yellow bus to ride around the city. Climb he 113 steps to the beautiful Akureyri Lutheran Church. I also found a great Lopi yarn store.

We booked the Wonders of the north with IGtours and had a nice time. We also enjoyed our stop for a swim at the natural baths.

We took an excursion to Godafoss waterfall, a lava labyrinth and hot springs. It was a wonderful experience.

We did a private tour of the area by bus. It went to Godafoss falls, the Psuedo Craters and mud flats, finally to the lava spires. It was all very interesting, however, it was an 8 hour excursion on a bus with very little air conditioning (which seems to be the norm. Other companies had the same issues).
