Mountains surrounding town had patches of snow or glaciers.

We did a very overpriced excursion (haha) and it was wonderful. Lovely tour guide too.

We took the Jewels of the North excursion and it was wonderful! Although the weather was dreadful, the scenery at the falls, lava fields, Lake Myvatn, and the mud flats was stunning.

I messed up by not going on an excursion. I mistakenly thought there would be a different port to visit and I had an excision planned for that day. Unfortunately, the next port and excursion were canceled due to weather.

Like this port probably more than the others. Walked the town, found some nice suvinours, and went on a whale watching an excursion.

We had another sunny day although the temperature had finally dropped and it was in the 40's. We visited a historic manor farm with dugout type housing that was all connected with a small church. Handmade gifts were available in the small souvenir shop. Godafoss waterfall was included and a short stop at a botanical garden. Since we were at the end of the season most of the plants were already passed.

A cute little town. We did not venture out of town on any excursions.

This was a beautiful town and the surrounding areas explored during the excursion provided another unique perspective of the rugged beauty of Iceland.

Another very charming, walkable port. We rook a guided tour of all the main attractions - really a must do to appreciate the unique terrain.
