Great guide, trip to the waterfall and the botanical gardens was great.

We did an excursion to the Godafoss Waterfall, Mud baths and some natural rock formations. On our excursion we had lots of time at each place to explore and take pictures. The Godafoss Waterfall is amazing you can get quite close to it if you go down a little staircase as it takes you down to the bottom of the waterfall if you do this wear sensible shoes as there are lots of rocks which are hard to walk on. Also the Mud baths are so cool. The area surrounding the mud baths looks like something from another planet.

Freezing cold

Private excursion. Fabulous time! Cruise lists visiting the local brewery as a suggestion. The brewery stopped letting guests in seven years ago!

Small and beautiful scenery.

We had a return visit and enjoyed the company of Helmut Hinrichsen, the guide took us to his patch for Birds of the North. This year we saw all the birds in breeding plumage. Some guests had walking difficulties a few had wheelchairs. unfortunately, this is IceLand, the ground is very uneven and falling can happen, (I am a witness to that last year I fell on the uneven path), and needed help to get up, I was on my back and my head was close to the water which was a fast flowing stream. So those with wheelchairs & walking sticks found the hills and uneven ground impossible. I didn't fall this year, better prepared.

One of the best stops, did a tour of highlights around the area.

Another small community. Our excursion of Northern Iceland’s Natural Treasures showed us some of the beautiful areas of Iceland.

My wife and daughter went on tours to the waterfalls and really enjoyed it.

Be sure to visit Forest Lagoon if you can. Also the Botanical Gardens are stunning! Very walkable town.
