Did excursion on our own. Lovely small town.

Must see waterfall and lava pits.

Larger of the 3 small Iceland ports. Not a huge amount to do except walk around the quaint town.

Did a Celebrity shore excursion.

The excursion to the fall was incredible but so expensive.

This north Iceland city shows you that the island is built on a volcano.

We had a return visit and enjoyed the company of Helmut Hinrichsen, the guide took us to his patch for Birds of the North. This year we saw all the birds in breeding plumage. Some guests had walking difficulties a few had wheelchairs. unfortunately, this is IceLand, the ground is very uneven and falling can happen, (I am a witness to that last year I fell on the uneven path), and needed help to get up, I was on my back and my head was close to the water which was a fast flowing stream. So those with wheelchairs & walking sticks found the hills and uneven ground impossible. I didn't fall this year, better prepared.

Loved Akureyri. Took the excursion to Godafoss waterfall

Godafoss falls and geyser tour - amazing

Did Waterfall of the Gods tour - was very nice but optional. Was not able to combine with included tour - but was able to walk around town on my own after.
