Pompeii was very hot. Our group was too large so they put half of us with another guide, He had plenty of stories but he never oriented us to the ruins or gave us a map.

We had a long scenic drive along the Napali coast with a stop and tour of a LimonCello factory where we had a refreshing break. We then returned along the coast and went to the ruins of Pompei. We walked the ruins extensively and it was very interesting. Though the inhabitants of this ancient city seemed to live well, we have much to be thankful for.

Sorrento and Pompeii were among my favorite experiences of the trip and the best excursion of the trip. Book “small group” whenever you can. It’s worth it!

Journey to Pompeii excursion was scheduled through BJs. It was nice, but could be shortened especially during summer heat.
