A wonderful place if you want a beach day. The beaches are nice, the water is warm, there are even some anchored floaties in the water. We went para sailing, which was beautiful. And then went on a peddleboard and manatee watch, that was very fun. It is a very active excursion and some people in our group had trouble staying up when we entered open water.

Again, private island gets a 5 for beach and safety Again 0 stars if I could, for misleading anyone. You will get zero experience of the country of Belize. They keep you isolated from Belize unless you purchase an over priced short lived and highly guarded excursion

Norwegian Cruise Lines private island that required the use of tenders. Many beach activities to do on the island as well as take a ferry to the mainland or other islands to do various excursions. Chose to stay on the private island and relax with a beach day. Unlike Norwegian's other private island that they own at Grand Stirrup Caye in the Bahamas, the drink package does not work on this private island under the agreement that Norwegian Cruise Lines has with the Belizian government to provide economic growth and employment opportunities for the locals in terms of purchasing food & drinks from the locals.

The day was rainy and chilly and we ended up spending little time outside. We had rented a poolside cabana which I do not recommend for the price since it didn't include any amenities. There's a swim up bar, that's not part of the regular bar/restaurant so if you have a tab open you cannot use it at the swim up bar. A bit confusing.
