took the water taxi for $7 rt from pier to downtown Philipsburg. Beautiful beach with chairs & umbrellas for rent right next to the pier in Philipsburg-wish I had a swimsuit on.

Port was nice. We took a Private trip to the beach with the airplanes that flies almost right over your head.

This was another beautiful place!!! And all I did was get off the ship for about 2 hours and did some quick shopping for souvenirs and then I got back on the ship!!! Again the people I talked with that did excursions said they had a great time!!!

The taxi service is extremely expensive but they drove us to the French side of the island to visit another resort - only time we could actually enjoy a pool

After visiting the island for the fifth time, and being downtown and Orient bay, we went to Maho Beach. It was a cool experience, watching families having fun getting blown away by the airplane engines, and coming back for more. I got hit as well a bit. But in all seriousness the view and experience of watching airplanes take off and land was great. I had my favorite Desperadoes tequila beer all day long. We did get some wings, which were ok. But there is a big kitchen and dining area. I must say, the dissipating over time fumes from nearby cars and four wheelers on the road and airplanes can be overwhelming. But they don't last. Still, it was somewhat bothersome. So get a beach chair closer to the water. Lastly, with the beach being fairly remote, there were only a couple of annoying ladies selling stuff. But once they remember you, they don't come by, as opposed to the downtown area, where it is of pandemic proportions.

St. Maarten is always a nice place to visit. Plenty to do right at the port and easy transportation to beaches by water shuttle. I took a ship's tour that included visiting the French side of the island, Majo beach, the rum factory and the cheese factory. Haven't seen this comprehensive of a tour on other lines. Very enjoyable.

We took the water taxi to Great Bay Beach. Had a great time. Got a couple chairs on the beach from Lenny. I think the restaurant he worked for was called Eat Something. Great spot on the beach.

We took the VIP snorkel tour on the Spirit of St. Maarten--one of the best shore excursions because of the high energy of the crew and how welcoming they were. The snorkeling was not great due to the weather. It's easy to walk off the ship and get a water taxi to the beach area or just to walk around the shops if you don't want to do a shore excursion.

Maho Beach is lovely!🛬🛫 I got some great video of planes coming in and taking off. Even funnier video of ppl being blown into the sea during plane takeoffs 🤣🤣🤣 The food and drinks were great and I really enjoyed the island tour drive of just getting to and from Maho Beach.
