We went to this port prior to the hurricane, it was so nice. We did not do an excursion through the boat, but with Bernard Tours. We went to an iguana Farm, Marigot open market, Maho Beach to see the airplanes, and Simpson bay marina. I believe we did a few other stops for picture opportunities. After the tour was completed they would drop you off for shopping and you could walk back or they take you back to the start (both options were in walking distance).

We have a great time on our excursion. We did the Sea Trek which was so much fun. There was 24 people from the ship so when we got to our spot they split it into two groups of 12 the first group when down while our group went snorkeling. Once it was are turn it climbed down the 20 ft and walked along the ocean floor. Absolutely recommend this excursion. Shopping near port was alright nothing special. People were not super friendly prices were high for what you wanted.

We arrived in February 2018 and loved this port. Friendliest people we met on this cruise. Great time as they were busy rebuilding their island. Highly recommend.

Went to Maho Beach to watch the airplanes land. No big ones, only small sports planes. Great food, nice locals, still lots of destruction from recent hurricanes.

We know someone who has timeshare on island so we knew we could go to their public beach in "Little Bay". Without this knowledge, not sure where we would have gone. Cab ride was only $5/pp and beach was free [loungers & umbrella only $5 ea], perfect & calm and no people. Eat at Seabreeze café on property. Delicious & not expensive. $50/4 people

By far our fav stop on our cruise! We got off and took the water taxi to downtown ($7 round trip each). And then we just wandered the shops and markets all around downtown. Friendly and easy going people, a bit of pressure sometimes to get you to stop and look but nothing out of the ordinary. Lots of great local flair and a beautiful tropical feel to it!
