St. Maarten is a lovely area. We did the excursion to Kim Sha beach for a relaxing afternoon. Our guide for the ride there was great. After the beach we took advantage of the option to be dropped off downtown to check out the shops, restaurants, etc and took a taxi back the ship. Great experience.

One of my favorite ports. Shopping in the port and beaches within walking distance of the ship. If you venture to the left from the port there is a sidewalk that leads to the beaches. You can also take a short ferry ride. Once at the stretch of beach, you will find bars and restaurants. As an example, you can set yourself up on the beach with two lounge chairs an umbrella, and a bucket of beers for 25 bucks. Cant be beat!

Took water taxi in and just walked around town and had a beverage. Have done excursions there before so did not plan this cruise

The port was fine. We did an excursion through the cruise which was fine. Nothing special about it but we were off the ship.

Dutch side- 5-stars French side- 1-star The entire time our tour bus was using the facilities on the French side, the attendant yelled at people to "not pee on the seats", "men, use better aim". Total arrogance.

Our favorite port and excursion around the whole island to see and learn about both the Dutch and French sides. The open air market was huge and a great place to get gifts and souvenirs.

Bus tour round the island, included rum tasting and cheese tasting. Open top bus not very comfortable, hard plastic seats.

Took the water taxi to town. We hadn't been there for awhile so it was fun walk around and visit our favorite places. Enjoy some cold drinks and local food. Nu Love is excellent.
