This was our 2nd visit to St Martin ..last time we had spent a lot of time on the French side of the island,so this time we took the water taxi over to the town and beach on our own on the Dutch side! Beautiful ❤️

Booked Capt. Bob’s directly thru his website, speedboat tour around the island. It was one of the best excursions we have done. Walked to dock area from the pier, took about 10-15 minutes. 15-20 people per boat. Went around entire island, stopped at multiple places to snorkel, see sea turtles, have lunch, watch the planes land. Beer, rum & soda plentiful all day.

Nice beach day. Just walk or take the water taxi to downtown. Lots of vendors offering chairs, umbrellas and drinks for $ 20-25 for the day.

If you don’t have an excursion planned, it’s fun to take the water taxi over to front street. It costs around $7/ adult for the full day. Once you get off the ship there’s a booth to buy the tickets there. Once the water taxi takes you across, walk straight to front street & turn left. There’s a store there called Leather World International. It’s at Front Street 71, Phillipsburg. The leather & designer jackets are beautiful & very reasonable. They also have mens & women’s shoes in the back. We’ve bought a lot from them over the years & I can guarantee these are good quality. The mens shoes are soft leather & they last. Another fun tip is there’s a nice little spot once you get off the water taxi (to the right) where you can get a bucket of beer, free WiFi & two chairs on the waterfront for really cheap. We didn’t go there this time but it’s called TruLove or something similar to that name

We got a Resort for a Day at Maho Beach. It definitely was NOT worth the money and I would neither recommend it or do it again. But we did get to see some of St. Maarten, including the planes flying close to Maho Beach and were able to spend the day in the beautiful turquoise water and at the resort pool. We also had a great "local" lunch at one of the resorts restaurants as well as unlimited drinks and everyone seemed to have a good time.

We walked to the beach from the ship and had a beach day for the kids. We rented chairs and umbrella for $30 which includes 5 juice/pop and slow Wi-Fi. We don’t drink alcohol. In the end, we ended up with 4 drinks. I didn’t bother arguing for the 5th drink. They also provide sand toys for the kids to use. We took the boat ferry back for $5 pp.

Beautiful water and great good. The vendors are a little pushy, but we got through just fine and found chairs and relaxed. The water taxi makes it super easy.
