Barbados has an old town colonial feel to it. There are a lot of churches and historic buildings in Bridgetown. The beaches in Barbados are beautiful and inviting. While in Barbados, be sure to sample food from a local Chefette's restaurant! Be sure to visit the new cricket stadium in Bridgetown, too. It's a short walk from the cruise ship terminal.

loves barbados we actually booked and excursion through the ship to malibu beach, next time i wouldnt have did that, later we found out a taxi ride from the ship to there was 5$, much cheaper than our excusion price. from the beach we payed a man to take us out on his catamaran to go snorkeling with turtles we saw i think 3 turtles so for 25$ it was worth it.

The water was exceptionally beautiful, but the excursion was for beginners and snorkelers who don't venture beyond a pool. We only saw a turtle and a Marlin. Half of the passengers from the ship alternated screaming, fearing they were viewing a shark, rather than a tarpon. This excursion was too tame for us and should be marked "amatuers only". The crew was outstanding and attentive, but the site quickly became saturated with multiple catamarans and their passengers for us to enjoy.
