Interesting small, but commercial town.

Getting off the ship is easy, you walk to a large building which is filled to the brim with souvenirs to purchase. From there you get into a line to be shuttled 7 miles to the actual town. I’ve been there before and decided not to go.

Time too short

Our stay was too, too short. But I had been here several times in the past so it didn't bother me, other than the fact that I could only stay less than 2 hours because there was a 7-mile shuttle ride.

Our least favorite port. We went there for long had to take about a 15 minute ride into town. Ate at the fish house wasn’t the greatest. Next time I would book an excursion in Ketchikan with the cruise.

1.5 hour bus ride same reason as Juneau. Ship was not leaving until 1PM but busses quit running at 11AM. Very little time to do anything

I think this is where the port is outside of the town. It was a rush due to the fact we couldn't see what we wanted. Yes

Limited time here, but we made the most of it. Ate breakfast at a small dive called The Pioneer, did some shopping and walking around. Took in the Lumberjack show, which was awesome. Small tip, you can purchase lumberjack tickets at the place for half the price of the cruise line. We then got a cab to go back to the port because the free bus to get back had a line a mile long.

My son and I did a lake kayaking trip on this one and it was an amazing couple of hours on the water. The port however is like all the others. There's a tourist trap souvenir shop where you meet the guides for excursions. There is absolutely no way to walk to town at all. It's a long bus ride away and you need to wait in a long line to even go. Nothing really to see in town unless you like those godforsaken Effy, Del-Sol, Whatever the stupid bamboo sheet store is, and gold/jewelry store. Forget seeing any locally handmade Alaskan or Native items/artwork for sale.
