July 2017 - 7 Night Alaska Glacier Bay (Seattle Roundtrip) Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

We cruised July 2017 to Alaska and thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. The crew provided Disney quality service. Our balcony cabin was spacious enough for our family of 3. Our room steward was prompt and excellent. The food in the specialty restaurants was outstanding. We found we preffered the selection in the buffet over the two main dining rooms. My son attended some of the childrens activities but reported having trouble understanding the foreign accents of the staff. The Junior Ranger program in Glacier Bay was his favorite activity. I would absolutely sail this ship again to Alaska but would choose a ship with more water activities/theater experiences for the carribean.

Cruise tips

Juneau, Alaska

Bald eagles are everywhere here. Did combination tour through NCL; whale watch/Mendenhall glacier visit. Our bus driver was informative and fun. We were able to hike the roundtrip at the glacier to nugget falls and back with time to stop for pictures and make it to the visitors center with a little time to spare. The whale watching boat was comfortable and the guides were helpful and knowledgeable. We saw 3 humpbacks up close and a group of sea lions. There was a complimentary snack onboard but more substantial food for purchase. Definitely got what we paid for.
