Good shopping in the port area, do not need to stray far from the ship
shop for your purchases, some stores have lower prices on same items.
Freedom of the Seas
This ship is easy to find your way around on. I have found that even with 4000+ passengers you can always find a place to hide away on and relax. The adults only area on a port day is a starter.
This was my 3rd cruise on this ship. The crew and staff are outstanding, friendly and went out of their way to accommodate each time. Yes there were a few issues that could not be resolved, the weather (very windy but no rain) the fact we missed a port and got back to Port Canaveral late because of the weather. But those are things that are out of everyone's control. A cruise should not be judged by those problems. We had many memorable moments and the reason was the crew on this ship. The dining room waiter doing magic tricks for our kids, the officers greeting you and taking the time to stop and talk to you were among the few. The beautiful Christmas tree that was put up on the promenade deck and then illuminated onĀ Thanksgiving evening by the captain. The food in the dining room was very good, though I am going to be sorry to see Portofino's be replaced. Those are the little things that make a good cruise. I was also pleased that the Crown and Anchor members were recognized on this trip with a few events and more that just a pin.
