Everything was Awesome!
Did not get many pics around San Juan, St Maarten, Grand Turk . Did not feel right about taking pics of their disaster. But Grand Turk people need to at least pick up the trash after themselves. There is no reason their should be so much trash lying around in such a paradise. Put those donkeys up, clean up their mess.
July 2017 - 5 Night Western Caribbean (Tampa Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Paradise
Awesome!
No complaints about the ship. You always see someone cleaning somewhere. I did not go in a restroom that was dirty. Food was good in buffet (buffet was always clean and fresh,) better in the dinning room (probably bc it was a more relaxed environment.) Must have the "carnival chocolate melting cake"
Service all over the ship was great.
Always someone making sure to say hello, good morning, is everything ok... always smiling. Cruise director and the fun squad are energetic and so much fun.
No weird smells except at port and I think that is just Tampa Habor or any harbor.
Sure the Paradise is dated, pool is small but.. February they are updating it with some restaurants and waterpark area. It was very hard not to have a wonderful time on this ship!

Get to the comedy club early. The Limelight Lounge or you will be standing through the show.
Carnival Tulum Ruins VIP tour Cenote swim with lunch.. was awesome but rushed. You get in an air conditioned ferry 35 mins ride from Cozumel. Then get on a tour bus it's about an hour drive from ferry dock, you get water when you get there, view ruins then a nachos, water and coke for a snack. Get on bus and go to the Cenote and Mayan village swim and canoe. Then ride back an hour u have about 40 mins to get to the boat. You are in port from 10am - 8 have to be at boat at 7:30. It was great to see culture we loved the food and seeing different things. We wish it wasn't rushed but that is not the excursion companies fault.. it's traffic and the right schedule of the ship time.
Snuba! Was amaZing! Was concerned my 12 year old would not enjoy it. Well.... He was sitting on the bottom with the instructors within minutes of starting. Took my ears a little bit to adjust but I really loved it! Then we rented a car right there with in walking distance and drove around and hit all the highlights mailed a post card from hell, took some pics around town, then drove to the opposite end from 7 mile beach. Stopped in front of the mansion where the movie "The Firm" was filmed there is an awesome little beach. Was only in port from 10-2:30... very short time. 😒
Stayed at the Barrymore in the art district before our cruise. Was very clean and a nice place to stay. Not very many places to walk to to eat but they are not far away.
