thanks for the idea.
If possible, bid on a suite. Access to the Coastal Kitchen makes specialty dining unnecessary and the rooms are great. 2 bathrooms!
thanks for the input and info on this
a big thanks since i have yet to sail form cape liberty either. i will be doing so in april 2023
we have friends that now exclusively sail from Cape Liberty, and Port of Baltimore, because its far cheaper to drive from Western NY(6-7hrs to NY/NJ and 8-9hrs to Baltimore)
From what they have told us, the only bonus to sailing from Miami is the new(ish) Terminal A, however, if you're on a smaller ship sailing out of Terminal J, Miami is Horriffic.
Ive yet to sail from NJ or Baltimore, but from the pictures and video I've seen of Baltimore, I'm not impressed.
Cape Liberty, however, gives wonderful views of the NYC Skyline, and Statue of Liberty....perfect for your Instabook or facegram or whatever that thing is.
Anthem is a great ship. Love the covered adult only solarium in the bow on deck 13 and up. There is a side door into this area from the hall of deck 13 starboard side. The Solarium Bistro was our go to for breakfast. They offer a good selection of food and it is less crowded and no kids and more relaxed than the buffet. Book things like North Star, FloRider and iFly early as these fill up quick. If you miss the early bookings you can always book on ship but the opportunities are limited at that point.
Cape Liberty is a great port. Lots of parking in the garage attached to the terminal and pricing is 60% less than what it is at the Manhattan terminal across the river.
