We love the formal nights. Polish up the buttons, badge, and Brass on my Class A uniform, and get in some fantastic photos! Depending on the day's itinerary, sometimes we wont change until we go to bed!

Formal nights are my favorite part of the trip! That's the one night a year where you can get dressed to the nines!
Usually there's a photo shoot and meet and greet with the Captain (at least one night). In the old days, there was the Grand Buffet at midnight (usually). Nowadays, there's your normal show, your shopping, and various other activities.

On formal nights prior to and between dinner seatings there are a multitude of choices for photographs with a variety of back drops. In some cases, on a formal night, you may get to meet the captain. Then there are the usual activities like a show in the main theater, comedy shows, and various bars and entertainment

That will depend on the ship and on the line. Formal nights are no longer what they used to be on many lines although some do still honour the tradition. Not sure what you mean by wear do you go or what do you do.
