Christmas Cruise Weather?

Going on a week long Christmas cruise to the bahamas in 4 days. With there being an apparent snow storm sweeping across the eastern US during our cruise, my question is will this increase the chances of bad weather or choppy seas? Anybody have experience in this situation or cruising during late December in general? Thanks

We sailed out of Miami last year on December 18, after spending 3 days in Key West. The weather the entire time, except December 22 - When were unable to dock at CocoCay due to high waves - Was in the high 80's, with lows of around 67, at the absolute lowest.

On this day 5 years ago we sailed out of NY Manhattan terminal for a 7 day Bahama cruise returning Dec 22. We had wet snow and freezing rain as we were on the ship waiting to depart and after that the weather was absolutely awesome. We had mid 70s for port day in Orland and low 80s the 2 port days in Bahamas. We encountered some nasty weather on the drive home but that is expected this time of year going through the mountains in PA and NY.
