Any recommended Hotels near San Pedro Cruise Terminal?

My hubby and I are looking to sailing out of the San Pedro Cruise Terminal on Princess.

Any recommendations on hotels in the area? Preferably a hotel with a shuttle to the terminal.

We like to come in a couple of days early and explore the port we from which we are sailing.

We usually book a hotel that is part of a national chain, but there seems to be very few in the San Pedro area.

If you cross over to Long Beach, I can't seem to find any hotels with shuttles to San Pedro?

What has been your experiences for Hotels in the San Pedro Cruise Terminal area?

Special deals to keep and eye out?

Any recommendations of sights to see when sailing from San Pedro?

Thanks so very much for any input you have!

Crowne Plaza in San Pedro. They have a shuttle to the pier. If you're driving they offer a stay, park, and cruise deal where you can leave your car while you cruise.

Thanks!

I'd be remiss if I didn't suggest the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

As a cruiser, you'd certainly appreciate the history and legacy of the ship (be sure to take one of the tours, you get a discount as a hotel guest). It's a short drive from the San Pedro cruise terminal (and directly adjacent to the Carnival terminal in Long Beach) and there's a free (I think) shuttle to downtown Long Beach if you want to do dinner, etc.

I also stay here when I cruise out of San Pedro. The address is:

Doubletree By Hilton San Pedro, 2800 Via Carrillo Marina, San Pedro, CA 90731

It’s by a gorgeous large Marina with lots of boats. I enjoy walking around the area. As cruisequeengwen said the shuttle will take you to other places to eat if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. I’ve eaten at the hotel a couple of times but as usual in a hotel it’s a bit over priced, good food though. Plenty of other good restaurants around with better prices.

Great staff. The only negative I’ve experienced here is that the WiFi is very unreliable.

As far as attractions, not many in San Pedro. I like going to the USS Iowa Battleship and visiting the Maritime Museum. There’s a fish market and restaurant area there I plan on visiting the next time I go.

thanks! I'll look into them right now! Happy

We stayed at The Doubletree by Hilton. It is a beautiful hotel, many things to do within walking distance and they have a shuttle to the cruise terminal. The employees are very friendly and helpful with places to eat and things to do. They will also take you to eat and pick you up if you decide you don’t want to walk! This hotel is frequently used for cruise travelers and was very organized with transportation to the cruise terminal. Would highly recommend them and will use them again if we sail out of there again.

great idea!

Try tripadvisor for recommendations. Google is good to check out too.
