Virgin Voyages Announces 2026 Marvelous Voyages, Including Solar Eclipse Sailings

Virgin Voyages is looking up towards the stars (and sun) with a lineup of 2026 ‘Marvelous Voyages’, with special eclipse viewing sailings. 

Sailors will have the opportunity to cruise toward the path of totality with eclipse itineraries in August 2026, with 12- and 15-night itineraries on Valiant Lady and Scarlet Lady. 

Valiant Lady will sail to Dublin, Glasgow, and Reykjavik for the special event, while Scarlet Lady to sail to the Amalfi Coast, Mallorca, and Cannes. Onboard, each ship will be outfitted with telescopes and binoculars to transform the ship’s upper decks into observation viewing spaces with astronomers on standby. New moon ceremonies, starry symphonies, and cosmic culinary creations (like Milky Way milkshakes) will make up the special programming. The line will also offer Sailors a pair of solar eclipse shades to use for the event and as a fun souvenir. 

In addition to the Eclipse Voyages, Virgin will also offer a collection of six other Marvelous Voyages between March and August 2026. These sailings will range from eight to 16 nights. 

Spanning Iceland to Istanbul, the British Isles to The Baltics, the Marvelous Voyages promise wonder and excitement, all with the comforts Virgin’s Sailors love. Twelve new ports are on the docket with highlights that include Salerno (Amalfi Coast, Italy), Edinburgh (Scotland), Stockholm (Sweden), Hamburg (Germany), Oslo (Norway), Tangier (Morocco) and eventually Greenland.

We’ve graduated from only offering short Caribbean escapes and weekender voyages to give our Sailors longer itinerary options up to 14 nights at more ports around the world. Our Marvelous Voyages, paired with Brilliant Lady’s epic itineraries across all four corners of the US, just shows the growth and strength of this monumental brand and the choice we are committed to offering,” said Michelle Bentubo, Chief Operating Officer at Virgin Voyages.

Bookings are open for Virgin Voayges’ Loyalty Sailors from Aug. 14-21, 2024. General bookings will be released between Aug. 21 and Sept. 18, 2024.
