Silversea Shares Details of Public Spaces on New Luxury Ship Silver Nova

Luxury operator Silversea Cruises has unveiled details about the public spaces on its upcoming ship, Silver Nova. The highly-anticipated vessel is slated to make its debut this coming August.  

According to the cruise line, the ship is one of the most environmentally conscious ships ever to be built and one of the world’s most spacious vessels. Silver Nova will have a capacity of 728 guests, with 10 bars and lounges, eight restaurants, and multiple public spaces. These areas are positioned on decks three, four, five, and outside of deck 10 of Silver Nova

In constructing the ship, Silversea has given Silver Nova an asymmetrical design and a horizontal layout, which will 'heighten the ship’s sense of spaciousness and provide a natural flow between venues on entire decks.' This design style is will be a first-ever for a luxury cruise line.

Public Spaces & Onboard Offerings

Following are the newly-announced spaces guests can look forward to enjoying on Silver Nova

Dolce Vita Lounge - This venue is the ‘heart’ of the ship and the perfect pre-and post-dinner drinks venue. Located on deck 5, Dolce Vita Lounge will have the capacity for up to 120 guests. This space will be open from morning until late in the evening for drinks and activities and will transform into a piano bar by night.

Venetian Lounge - The two-story Venetian Lounge will have the capacity for 370 guests on decks four and five. This will be the space for enrichment and entertainment offerings, hosting live theatre and musical performances, film screenings, evening events, and seminars during the day. 

The Shelter - This space is a brand-new venue for Silversea. The Shelter is a sophisticated evening-only bar, accommodating just 32 guests. The design palette is illuminated by tasteful lighting, a striking bar with a wrap-around bottle display with integrated strips of lighting for a modern aesthetic. 

Connoisseur’s Corner - Located on deck 5, this space will offer a selection of premium cigars and liquors. The area has a new design from other of the line's vessels and will have the capacity to hold 35 guests. 

The Observation Lounge - This Observation Lounge will have panoramic, 270-degree views, that are perfect for relaxation and sightseeing. It will be located on deck 10, the top of Silver Nova. The space will also house the ship’s library.

Panorama Lounge - This space is set on the aft of the ship, and is a peaceful lounge by day and a lively bar by night. Panorama Lounge can host up to 190 guests, sprawling over 5,888ft on deck five. It also includes an outdoor area where guests can enjoy 270-degree views.

S.A.L.T. Lab - A returning venue for Silversea, S.A.L.T. Lab is greatly enhanced on Silver Nova with a fresh layout that can accommodate 28 guests. The area’s test kitchen will ‘enable guests to travel deeper into each sailed region through the lens of food and drink, providing the opportunity to get hands-on with regional ingredients under the guidance of local food experts and Silver Nova’s S.A.L.T. Host.’

Otium Spa - The Otium Spa is relocated on Silver Nova to the bow on deck five. The area will feature an indoor swimming pool, spa with eight treatment rooms, tranquil relaxation area, fitness center, and beauty salon. The thermal area will be larger than ever, with a steam room, sauna, and pool, complete with a travertine water fountain and floor-to-ceiling windows. The decor has been inspired by the design of the Ancient Roman baths. 

Other Public Areas - Silver Nova will include a three-storied atrium, casino, two-storied boutique, and two outdoor bars located on deck 10.

Dining Venues & Accommodations 

Silver Nova will be home to eight signature restaurants, with options ranging from spacious open-seated venues to intimate elegant dining options. Indoor eateries (all located on decks three, four, and five) include La Terrazza, Atlantide, S.A.L.T. Kitchen, La Dame, Silver Note, and Kaisekiwhile. On deck 10, Marquee will house two outdoor dining options - Spaccanapoli and the Grill. In addition to its eight restaurants, Silver Nova will welcome up to 70 guests in the vibrant Arts Café area. 

Guest accommodations include 364 spacious suites across 13 categories. This is the most suite category in the cruise line’s history. A new accommodation option for guests includes 

a group of premium suites that are located on the ship’s aft.

August 2023 Launch 

Silver Nova is slated to make its debut this coming August, with its first sailing going roundtrip from Venice, Italy. The ship will spend its inaugural season sailing a variety of Mediterranean itineraries. 

Bookings for sailings on Silver Nova through April 2025 are now open.
