Princess Cruises to Add New Florida Homeport in 2024
Princess Cruises is headed to Central Florida! For the first time ever, the cruise line will homeport a ship out of Port Canaveral starting in November 2024.
For the winter 2024 season, Caribbean Princess will sail Western and Eastern Caribbean cruises. The vessel features 1,571 staterooms, accommodating a capacity of 3,140 guests and 1,200 crew. Itinerary highlights include:
- One 4-day Turks & Caicos voyage over the Thanksgiving holiday
- Five departures of an 8-day Eastern Caribbean sailing with visits to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan, and Grand Turk
- Five departures of an 8-day Western Caribbean itinerary sailing to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Belize City, and Roatan
- Nine departures of a 6-day Eastern Caribbean voyage to Turks & Caicos, Nassau, Grand Turk, and either Amber Cove or San Juan
Establishing Port Canaveral as a homeport is part of Princess Cruises’ plan to expand its North American presence and offer additional new exciting experiences.
“The combination of a vibrant Central Florida community, exceptional flight options into Orlando International Airport and great pre-cruise and post-cruise experience options makes Port Canaveral an easy choice,” said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises. “Princess is unique in its ability to deliver incredible cruise ship amenities typical of the largest ships in the world, while delivering personalized service found on the industry’s smallest ships.”
As with all Princess Cruises sailings, these newly announced Caribbean Princess voyages will offer Princess Medallion technology. The experience offers a host of onboard conveniences like contactless payments, keyless stateroom entry, muster anywhere, friends and family locator, and more.
These new Princess Cruises voyages from Port Canaveral go on sale starting Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
