Princess Cruises Set for Full 2022 Alaska & Canada/New England Seasons
Following the recent announcement of Transport Canada's protocols for the safe resumption of cruise ships to Canadian ports, Princess Cruises shared they have now finalized their itineraries and guest experiences for full 2022 seasons in Alaska and Canada-New England.
"The reopening of Canadian ports to the cruise industry is a bold and important move that significantly expands the array of travel opportunities available to guests while boosting the economies of the Canadian and Alaska destinations we visit by generating important revenue and job opportunities," said John Padgett, Princess Cruises president. "We know firsthand how cherished these voyages are to both guests and those destinations following our shortened but successful return to Alaska in 2021 that was made possible with the passing of the Alaska Tourism Restoration Act."
Princess Cruises’ 2022 Alaska season will offer sailings on six ships, including the newest vessel Discovery Princess. The line will offer 12 itineraries in the region, totaling in 140 departures and five glacier-viewing experiences. The first Princess ship which will visit Canada is Caribbean Princess, sailing on a four-day Pacific Coastal voyage, with a scheduled stop in Victoria on April 6, 2022, and Vancouver on April 7, 2022.
Between May and September 2022, Princess Cruises will sail to Alaska from four west coast ports: Seattle, Vancouver, Anchorage, and San Francisco:
- Discovery Princess and Crown Princess will offer Inside Passage sailings roundtrip from Seattle
- Majestic Princess, Royal Princess, and Grand Princess will sail the seven-day Voyage of the Glaciers itineraries from Vancouver to Anchorage
- Ruby Princess will offer 10-day Inside Passage cruises from San Francisco

Over on the East Coast, Princess is excited about the return of its popular Canada and New England voyages. From July through October 2022 Enchanted Princess and Caribbean Princess will sail six unique itineraries from Quebec and New York. Canadian Port stops on these cruises include Halifax, Saint John, Sydney, and Charlottetown.
