Carnival Cruise Line has announced that their upcoming west coast-based ship, Carnival Panorama, will feature the first trampoline park at sea.

The trampoline space on the 4,000-passenger Vista class ship — in partnership with Sky Zone — will be replacing the IMAX Theater, which can be found on Carnival Vista and the line’s current youngest vessel, Carnival Horizon. The 3,000 square foot space will have a 12-lane trampoline court, a jousting beam, Sky Ladder, climbing wall, and Tug of War arena. Events and activities held there will include glow parties, an “above the rim” basketball experience, and high-flying dodgeball games.

This announcement comes as Carnival begins preparations to celebrate their 2019 west coast expansion plans in a special way. The line is creating a floral replica of the new ship to be featured in the world-famous Rose Parade on New Year’s Day in Pasadena, California. When Carnival Panorama arrives in Long Beach in December 2019, it will be the first new ship to homeport in California in 20 years.

The parade float ship will include many of Carnival’s signature features like the red and blue funnel, a water park, and even a Lido Deck Party. To celebrate the launch of their trampoline park, there will also be a Sky Zone trampoline built into the front of the float. Flying above the float, spectators can enjoy a replica of the Carnival AirShip blimp, too.

The 55-foot-long float is comprised of tens of thousands of flower petals applied by hand, and it will sail the five-mine parade route showing off flowers from over 100 countries that represent the number of nations that Carnival employees hail from. The float will also salute the men and women of the Armed Forces with a special appearance by Former Miss USA Deshauna Barber, godmother of Carnival Vista and the first active military member to serve as Miss USA.

Construction of the maritime-themed float began this month, designed by Carnival’s own creative team and Fiesta Parade Floats. This year, the parade’s theme is “The Melody of Life” and Carnival will encourage fans to “Come Sail Away.”

Carnival Panorama debuts with a special three-day inaugural cruise from Long Beach on December 11, 2019. After that, she will launch year-round, seven-day cruises to the Mexican Riviera. The ship joins Carnival Imagination and Inspiration in California.

Kinda disappointed of the plans you are planning for this ship Panaroma… Trampoline Park instead of IMAX? I am kinda looking forward to enjoy IMAX for our future cruise on this ship. Trampoline Park is targeted for kids not for seniors. IMAX is ideal for all types of ages.
