MSC Cruises is slated to launch its upcoming new flagship vessel, MSC Euribia, this June. The ship is the second in the cruise line’s fleet to be powered by LNG, one of the world’s cleanest marine fuels.

The naming ceremony for MSC Euribia will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 8, 2023. The port location was picked to celebrate Copenhagen’s rich maritime history as well as its commitment to sustainability.

MSC Euribia will sail an inaugural season in Northern Europe starting on June 10, 2023. Cruises include a range of 7-night sailings from Kiel and Copenhagen to the Norwegian Fjords, including Geiranger, Ålesund, and Flaam.

The highly-anticipated MSC Euribia has been built with sustainability at the forefront of its design. The ship will include state-of-the-art environmental systems, that include a ‘Baltic Standard’ advanced onboard wastewater treatment system, waste management handling, energy efficiency measures, and shore power connectivity. The ship will utilize an underwater radiated noise management system to minimize the effects of vibrations on marine life, as well as several other energy efficiency features to help reduce engine usage.

MSC Euribia will feature a striking exterior mural designed by German graphic artist Alex Flaemig. The artwork will “represent MSC Cruises’ commitment to protect and preserve the marine environment.”

Onboard guest highlights of MSC Euribia are set to include a 954-seat theatre, 5 pools, a coral-themed water park, and a Mediterranean-style promenade with LED Dome. The ship will also offer the MSC Foundation Center, an educational area for children and adults to learn more about the cruise line’s sustainability programs and causes.

MSC Euribia will offer ten dining venues, with five specialty restaurants and five main eateries, as well as 21 bars and lounges. Following are dining highlights announced for the ship:

  • Specialty dining on MSC Euribia is set to include Helios Wine Bar (an immersive and digital wine-tasting experience), Le Grill (serving elegant French cuisine meets classic steakhouse), and the return of Kaito Teppanyaki & Sushi Bar (with MSC Cruises' first-ever Robatayaki dining offering).
  • Other included eateries on MSC Euribia will be a 1,336-seat Marketplace buffet, main dining restaurants Colorado River, Green Orchid, and Il Campo, as well as sister restaurants, Aurora Boreale and Aurora Borealis.
