MSC Cruises Named Cruise Line Partner to the New York Knicks
The Madison Square Garden Sports Corporation has announced a multi-year partnership with MSC Cruises, making MSC Cruises the official cruise line partner to the New York Knicks.
This will provide MSC Cruises with great brand exposure at Knicks home games at Madison Square Garden. The cruise line will be featured on LED and on-court signage, as well as become the presenting partner of the in-game t-shirt toss. MSC Cruises will also be displayed on the digital boards located outside of Madison Square Garden.
“Our partnership with MSG and the New York Knicks is symbolic of our overall commitment to New York City with the upcoming launch of year-round cruises from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal onboard MSC Meraviglia,” said Rubén A. Rodríguez, President, MSC Cruises USA.
MSC Cruises will become the Knicks’ first-ever ‘global rights marketing partner’ to which the two will create new activations in overseas markets. The organizations will work together to provide content and brand promotions to continue growing the game of basketball.

This season, the Knicks and MSC Cruises will join forces for a number of activities to kick off the new partnership. The Knicks and MSC Cruises will create a sustainability initiative in which they will provide a donation to an Ocean Conservation Cause for every three-pointer made by the Knicks. Throughout the year, GardenVision and Knicks Digital Channels will run information on the program and updates on the amount donated.
This spring, the Knicks will host a Jr. Knicks clinic on the basketball court onboard MSC Meraviglia during the vessel’s inaugural call at Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. Participants will have the opportunity to meet Knicks alumni and receive branded Knicks/MSC Cruises giveaways.
Additionally, MSC Cruises will come on board as the official cruise line partner to the Westchester Knicks and Knicks Gaming. This includes LED signage for all Westchester Knicks home games and virtual on-court signage for Knicks Gaming home games.
