MSC Cruises’ Full Fleet Back at Sea by Summer 2022

MSC Cruises has announced that its entire fleet of 19 cruise ships will be back at sea by Summer 2022. This will be the first time since Spring 2020 that all of the line’s ships will be in operation. For the Summer 2022 season, MSC will offer a variety of cruises in Northern Europe, Western and Eastern Mediterranean, Caribbean, as well as select cruises from China and Japan. 

For the first time ever, MSC will deploy 14 ships to the Mediterranean. This will mark the largest number of ships which the line has ever had in this region. MSC Cruises will offer more than 40 Western and Eastern Mediterranean itineraries, from mini-cruises all the way up to 21-day voyages. 

Here’s a look at where each MSC Cruises ship will be deployed for the Summer 2022 season:

Northern Europe highlights for Summer 2022 include:

  • MSC Virtuosa: sailing 7- to 14-night itineraries from Southampton (UK) 
  • MSC Grandiosa: sailing 7-night itineraries from Kiel (Germany) 
  • MSC Preziosa: sailing 7- to 11-night itineraries from Kiel (Germany) 
  • MSC Poesia: sailing 11- night itineraries from Warnemunde/Berlin (Germany), and a 21-night cruise that includes calls to a number of destinations in Iceland and Greenland.
  • MSC Magnifica: sailing 10- to 14-night cruises from Hamburg (Germany)

Western Mediterranean highlights for Summer 2022 include:

  • MSC Meraviglia: will homeport in Barcelona, offering an itinerary visiting ports in France, Spain, and Italy
  • MSC Opera: will homeport from Genoa (Italy), offering cruises stopping in Palermo, and ports in France, Spain, and Tunisia 
  • MSC Splendida: will homeport from Genoa (Italy), offering cruises to ports in France, Italy, and Sicily 
  • MSC Seaview: will homeport from Genoa (Italy), offering cruises to ports in Italy, Malta, Spain, and France
  • MSC Seaside: will homeport from Genoa (Italy), offering cruises to ports in Italy, Spain, and France
  • MSC Orchestra: will homeport from Genoa (Italy), offering cruises to ports in France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy
  • In Autumn 2022, MSC Magnifica will offer 11-night cruises to the Canary Islands, Morrocco and Madeira, while MSC Poesia will offer 3-, 4- and 5-night cruises rounding out the season in the West Mediterranean.

Eastern Mediterranean highlights for summer 2022 include:

  • MSC Fantasia: will homeport in Trieste (Italy), with cruises calling on ports in Italy, Montenegro, Italy, Greece, and Turkey 
  • MSC Musica: will homeport in Monfalcone (Italy), with cruises calling on ports in Greece and Italy
  • MSC Sinfonia: will homeport in Venice (via Marghera), with cruises calling on Montenegro, Greece, and Italy
  • MSC Armonia: will homeport in Venice (via Marghera), with cruises calling on Italy, Greece, and Croatia 
  • MSC Lirica: will homeport in Piraeus/Athens (Greece), with cruises calling on ports in Turkey, Israel, and Cyprus

Caribbean highlights for summer 2022 include:

  • MSC Seashore: homeporting in Miami, MSC Seashore will offer alternating 7-night itineraries to the western and eastern Caribbean. 
  • MSC Divina: homeporting in Port Canaveral, MSC Divina will offer 3- and 7-night Western and Bahamas cruises.

Far East highlights for summer 2022 include:

  • MSC Bellissima will sail a range of departures from China and Japan

Since the line resumed in August 2020, MSC Cruises’ guests have been sailing under health and safety protocol developed with the input of a Blue-Ribbon Panel of experts. All MSC cruise sailings are open only to vaccinated guests and this will requirement remains in place through Summer 2022.
